Elizabeth Salas, M.S., President &Chief Compliance Officer/ Economist/ Mother/ Good Human
Elizabeth (Liz) Salas serves as the President and Chief Compliance Officer for Cayena Capital Management LLC and as Manager & President for Cayena Econ Lab LLC, which provides financial literacy webinars, workshops, issues policy statements, and consulting in perpetuity. Additionally, Liz is a business advisor and underwriter at the Regional Economic Development Center (REDC) in Raymond, NH as of May 2023. Liz began her career in 2005 with Fidelity Investments and has since held positions with TD Ameritrade, Charles Schwab, Windhaven Investment Management, and a small local independent registered investment adviser. Her financial services experience covers a broad range of roles including that of a relationship manager to high net worth individuals, research assistant, retirement specialist, global trade analyst, Portfolio Manager, and economist. Throughout her career, Liz, has had a particular interest in race and gender equality within the financial services industry and in socially responsible investment themes, corporate practices, environmental stewardship, consumer protection, human rights and diversity. A native of New Hampshire, Liz received a B.S. degree in Business Finance and M.S. in Applied Economics from Southern New Hampshire University. She was previously registered with FINRA with Series 7, 9, 10, and 63 licenses, with an active Series 65. She also serves as Executive Trustee, Investment and Finance committee member for NH PBS located in Durham, NH, Executive Trustee, Finance and Outreach committee member for the Society for the Protection of NH Forests located in Concord, NH, as a Corporator of New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp (NHMB), and has been appointed to the Finance Committee by the Town of Weare New Hampshire. Her global engagements include membership as U.S. Ambassador to the Transparency Taskforce a not for-profit located in the United Kingdom that strives to eliminate corruption, fraud, and manipulation from global financial markets. She is a member of the American Economic Association (AEA) and The Black Economists Network (TBEN). She was the recipient of the SBA’s Minority Business of the Year in 2023, and NH Business Review’s 2020 Outstanding Woman in Business award. She is inspired by Mechanism Design for Social Good (MD4SG), where she strives to attend as many meetings when possible.
